Glacier National Park - Recomendations?
Did a quick search on Glacier and didn't get any hits. Anyone here ever been? We are looking at going up next summer sometime and looking for any campground advice or "must see/do's".

I've got a friend that has been a couple of times. I'll check with him and see if he knows of anything. He goes for the fishing, so theres a certain time of year that he goes when the water is flowing.

No recommendation, but I want to go. Been trying to make it for years; never seem to get past Yellowstone.

Went there in 97. Only thing I'd change is to say longer!! It's an awesome place. Careful what time of year you travel....roads closed, etc. I was there 2nd week in Sept and some the the motels where already closing. Can't give you any info on campgrounds...I stayed at motel.
Have a great trip!!

I have this book and its great for info on the federal parks. What's good to see, how long to stay, best time of year to visit, time of year it's most crowded, info on camping and etc. Not real expensive either.
