a bit of useless information
Did you know that a 225 75 15 tyre does 736 revs per mile, whilst my truck tyres spin at 684 revs per mile. (295 45 20)

In the U.K. we prefer to war our pants under our trousers.
But we do have a boot on the back of our cars rather than a trunk.

spell (spěl) Pronunciation Key
v. spelled or spelt (spělt), spell·ing, spells
v. tr.
To name or write in order the letters constituting (a word or part of a word).
The past tense and past participle of spell (only in the word-related sense) can be either irregular (spelt) or regular (spelled).
British English allows both irregular and regular forms. In American English, the irregular forms are never or hardly ever used.
I found this on Yahoo answers,
so we are both right.

I think this is why my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather left Wales in the late 1600s to come over the pond to the colonies.

Re: a bit of useless information
I remember getting a book report in school wrong because the teacher said I spelled the title wrong.
The title had the word " Centre " in it. I had to bring her the book to correct her. she was only aware of the american way of
" center " .

If you spell "crayfish" instead of "crawfish" you probably are a yankee.
Cajun definition of "Yankee": Anyone who lives north of I-10.
