Leaking slides
I know that this topic is one that gets a lot of forum time, but the leak in my main slide is driving me to
.
I have looked all over the out side to see if there is a bad seal or damage I have found nothing. the only place where a very wet patch forms is in the corner of the slide,[img]
[/img]
to the right hand side of my Tv, about 6 inches each way from the corner.
I think I have found the leak in the bedroom slide, under the bed there is a seal but there is a cut about 2 inches from the end of the seal, this is where I have found a wet patch. I will try to fix some how, Any Ideas welcome.

Re: Leaking slides
I would say check the caulk on top of the slide in the corner maybe. I think SCHROWANG had a leak there. Maybe around the windows? Use a hose and see if you can see it somewhere?
As far as the bedroom leak goes, where is this seal you are talking about. My leak stopped when I cut 2 to 3 inches off the white vinyl that covers the screw heads. This vinyl went under the slide and into the bedroom allowing water to travel inside the vinyl and drain into the bedroom. I went as far as to cvut the corner monding off, cause it was keeping hte black ruber from making a good seal inder the slide.

If you stand at the bottom of the bed it is on the left side The is a cut in the bottom inner seal about 2 inches from the corner, I am not slim enough to do a proper repair there unless I remover the bed. I was thinking about eternerbond on the rubber to seal the cut.

Re: Leaking slides
My rear slideout started leaking only when in the out position. I found that water was coming out of a small tear in the hollow weather stripping at the bottom of the bed. I just got it back from the dealer. He said the inner seals on the slideout were sticking and were not properly staying against the slideout walls. They lubricated them and now have them where they stay against the slideout. From the outside of the unit, pull the outer seal away from the slideout and see what position the inner seal is in. It should be flush against your slideout wall. Mine also has a white seal that is attached to the slideout that mates up against the inner seal when the slideout is in the out position. I was expecting a major repair but was relieved when he told me what it was. I have a delam issue that is scheduled to be fixed at the factory in December.
