side wall is bubbling
First topic message reminder :
The right side of my cat is bubbling in several places up close to the roofline and down about 2 feet. Anyone have any ideas? I'm guessing delaminating? Any idea if or for how long this is warranted? I'm the orgininal owner, 2008 model.
Break the news to me gently please.
Thanks

Re: side wall is bubbling
Got my Cat back and am pleased and disappointed. From looking at the rear of the rig, it looks like a brand new one. When you look at the driver side, instead of replacing the whole side, they pieced it. Now I have 3 seams where there wasn't any before.
When I pulled the cord out of the side, it was covered in caulk, I spent half a day trying to clean it. When I opened the slide, my carpet was soaked, spent awhile trying to dry that out. I overall inside was dirty, would have thought they would have vacuumed the carpet to remove small pieces of debris.
I just would have thought since delamination is a problem and should have been a RECALL issue, that they would have shown better workmanship rather than take the cheap way out!

Re: side wall is bubbling
Well..sent an email to Mr. Batts on January 17th. Haven't
recieved a return email. I asked him...even if you can't
repair our coach..could you help with materials and we
could make the repairs ourselves?
Thought I would at least get a "no" response.
Oh well..I sent another email today. Wait and see if they
can at least tell us how to repair it.
Thanks to all on the forum. I wouldn't have known about
this issue without your advice.
EDIT..
Recieved an email from Mr. Batts. Looks like I am the dumd a**
Apparantly the rear of the coach is not laminated and its normal for
it to have waves.
Thanks to Forest River and Mr. Batts for the follow-up.

Re: side wall is bubbling
Just got my CAT back monday, Rod Batts and his crew did a wonderful job fixing the awning side, and the the back side it looks like a new one. They put a new side on the driver side last year and did a great job, and whats nice is when they put a new side on they replace everthing so my camper looks like it just got built and its a 2008, 29rlbs. I know forest river had some problems with the wildcat and when ours started delaminting my wife and I were sick about it and didn't know what to do. most dealers don't won't to deal with it so I called forest river and they put me threw to Rod Batts and he really cared, so I sent him some pictures and he said they would fix it and they did. So that tells me that forstriver backs there product up even when the warranty is up, so my next camper will be a Forest river. So ones again I thank Rod Batts and his team at Forest River for helping my wife and I.

Dan,
Thanks for posting the good news. It's needed to counter balance the negatives which tend to get posted more frequently.

Sorry to hear the repair didn't come out as hoped for. I'd be pretty upset too if it came back with seams. In reality, I'd personally would rather have some delamination than 3 seams.
On the bright side, good enough reason to go to the R/V show in AC this weekend and start shopping for a replacement.
Also, can you post a picture of the seamed area?

Re: side wall is bubbling

I am glad some on here are happy with Mr. Batts and I am not on here to bash anyone. I spent weeks sending emails and phone calls to Mr. Batts without a response concerning repairs on my rig. The only way I got a response was after posting pictures on the facebook page of Forest River. Got a response in 2 hours.
No one should have to ask them for repairs to the rigs that Forest River knew were bad.
On a lighter note, went to the AC RV show, alot of nice rigs but not ready to give up on my Cat.
