TV Mounting for Flat Screen TV

Post by dutchman on 9/23/2010, 8:43 am

Have 2005 29RLBS Wildcat. Bought new 26" TV. Has anyone revised their deep TV Cabinet to accomodate wall mounts or improvised a secure mounting system?

Several of us have made variations of that mod. Look through all of the DIYs to see some.

You can see our TV mounting mod plus the other mods we've made to our Cat by clicking on the URL that appears in our signature.

Thanks for your response. You've done some good mods to your unit. We put our TV on the bed also when travelling. Like to get away from that chore. Happy RVing!!

If we were to do this mod again, we'd set the door in about 2 inches. That way, when we close the slide, the TV won't get in the way. Maybe someday, we'll correct this.... there would still be room in the cabinet for our printer. We would still put the TV on the bed while traveling.

I'm working on this mod right now and I'll post some pics when I (finally) get it done.

I cut a 3/4" board to fit flat on the shelf, painted it and then made some brackets that go from the board to the back of the tv. The Tv sits nice and secure. If I need to remove the tv all I have to do is loosen the wing nuts and out it comes. Works great and I never cut into my original camper slelf.

Wish I had your cab. They changed it for the 30RLBS and it is going to be a "B" to change. Thank you FR.
