Re: west coast factory rep
Beverly is who the dealers deal with for all the warranty work. Very nice lady whom I met when I took my unit back to the factory to get some work done such as having them install a skylight at no charge. When ordering my trailer, I dealt with a rep there named Steve who they call Wildcat Steve. He is the dealer rep used when placing orders. Wish I could remember his email and number. He gave me all sorts of great info about the options and how much weight each one added.

Where is the FR Factory located? If I remember correctly, it's somewhere near Portland? Also, is there anyway to tell where my unit was manufactured based on Serial number or ID badge somwhere? Since we're only a few hours from Portland (I'm hoping it's there) we want to take a trip out there to watch the MFG process some day!

It's in Dallas, OR just outside of Salem.

Re: west coast factory rep
Here's what I came up with for a VIN decoder.
1-3 is the world manufacturer identifier (4X4 for Forest River)
4 is the trailer type (F for fifth wheel, T for travel trailer)
5-6 is the line (i.e. WC for Wildcat, SM for Salem, CA for Cardinal)
7 is the length (Z= 24RL, A = 25RL, B= 26 (not used), C=27RL, D=28RKSB/28RKBS, E=29RLBS/29BPBH, F=30LSBS/30LOFT, G=31QBH/31THSB/31TS/31QBSB, H=32QBBS, K=34RLT
8 is the number of axles
9 digit check digit?
10 digit is the year (i.e. 2 = 2002, A = 2010)
11 digit may be the plant. where "T" is Dallas, Oregon, "V" is Elkhart, Indiana
12-17 is probably a production sequence (i.e. serial number)

jetskier I think you should also post that info on the

Because someone is bound to need this info sooner or later.
(Real good bit of info, well done from Sean).

I can't post there. I'd have to get Phil to give me permissions to post to that subforum.
Did you check your VIN based on my decoder?

No not yet as it is dark here now and I would rather buy Diesel so that I could take my Cat out, rather than Batteries for my torch
But I will tomorrow. I have also cut and pasted in to word so that I can save this info in my Cat folder

Another easy way to tell is by looking at your sheet posted in your upper cabinet (most likely). There it will say OR or ORE with your model number.

Jetskier, all my numbers seem to add up. Being built in Elkhart what does it make mine East , west, north, south or just over the Pond
