Mech hand brake part 2

Post by Admin on 9/20/2010, 11:03 am

I picked up Seans new brake assemblies with the parking brake from dexter,,,,,

and I like'em. worthy Idea

I really like the park brake Idea. If any of you have been in a large farm truck or any type of vehicle that had a hand brake the levers forward to release and pull it up to lock it , thats pretty much what it is. I think when I redo my brakes I'm gonna go with the park brake system.

I've had my camper roll forward after chocking the wheels and like to have had a heart attack. With the park brake plus chocking , I'm really liking the added safety feature.

I'm kinda wondering why they're not on there already. Seems like that would have been a must have long ago.

My Wife and I are New Members. WE LUV CAMPING!

Post by BigHornWildcat on 9/20/2010, 12:58 pm

My wife and I have been camping together for 40 years. This new 31TS is fantastic and we have had a lot of campers to compare. Best value for the money!!!
I knew from the first day that the camper had several wrong labels. Without this website, I would never have known FR recognizes their mistake and what to do. Now it's simple- lots of phone calls and emails. I'm used to that. Thanks to you and everyone that participates.
We spend most of our time in the Big Horn Mountains and just relax. Everyone that sees this TS is full of oohs and aahs! It has all the options.

Again THANKS!!!

It's thanks to people like Admin that I am finally getting my brake replacements at a good price I'll post about the fitting and if they make a difference to the safety of the Cat. The next thing I'll look at on the brake side if they work to my satisfaction is modifying my other axle using parts from Dexter's parts list. For example keeping my back plates and just changing some of the parts to give it the parking brake facility. not sure if it would work but I will no doubt try.
And welcome to the forum BigHornWildcat
