Re: Locks
Docking station doors why not just remove the locks from the little locker doors where your waste valves are, straight swap
.I like to think that locks were not put on gas bottle locker due to the safety aspect. If you have a gas problem in your Cat the last thing you need to be doing is looking for the keys. Also the fire brigade can just turn the thumb locks and open the door. I have stickers on my gas locker doors indicating there is gas on board.

I really see no reason for it but then again, I've seen people run a cable through their grills, chairs and anything thats not bolted down.
I have a little more faith in my fellow campers than that.

Re: Locks
Its usually not your fellow campers..... Lake side CG's have invaders from the water that come up and raid, land locked CG's have raiders from the side streets.... Have'nt seen it myself but have talked to people that have experienced it first hand. Landing by water seemed to be the most common on big lakes.

Re: Locks
I replaced the baggage door locks with the totally tubular cam locks. They don't use the special 751 universal key. I guess you could rip them open, but that removed the element of surprise.

Re: Locks
In 38 seasons of camping I have never had anything stolen from a campsite. I camp almost exlusively in state parks, Corps of engineer camgrounds and the like. I avoid private campgrounds like the plague (not because I think they are thief ridden but because they are not the kind of place I like). 30 of those years were in a tent, 5 in a pop up and this is the third in our 'Cat. I did have the problem okdrifter wrote about once but I have installed a fix to prevent that.

Re: Locks
okdrifter,
I connected a pvc t to the handle on the black tank valve (you cut a slot and use strapping to hold it in place), glued the t to a pvc pipe shich extends to the front of the camper through a hanger and into a handle made of other pvc parts. There is a hole drilled through the pipe just in from behind the hanger which accepts a padlock. This prevents the handle from being pulled forward (open). I think someone posted this fix on here but I don't remember where. Right now I don't have the energy to go looking. Maybe later.

Re: Locks
If your handles are like mine okdrifter, the locks won't slow them down much. All you have to do is reach under the door and pull the handle. That's why I really think those locks are kind of silly.

Re: Locks
In my macerator install I have put another valve onto the end of the existing pipe work, If some one opens the valve nothing will come out due to the fact that my system is now double valved. They would have to reach up under the side body work to open the fist valve, then the second valve, But would they bother
