Re: Quick View of Google member Map.. See where everyone lives
on the map too!!
LTGO- have a question for you.... under your siggy you have many states covered but I noticed you have a new rig. I've been told that you only color the states you've camped in, in your current rig. Is this true for you?, cause if not then I have a bunch more to add to my map. thanks
NEVERMIND!!! I must have looked at the wrong user name!!

Re: Quick View of Google member Map.. See where everyone lives
I don't know if there are any written rules regarding the states-camped-in map. We started trailer camping in the early 70's. We consider the states we camped in then as important as the states we've camped in since getting our Wildcat. So..... all of the states are included.
I guess we can all make our own rules, or if the majority of the people on this forum want to make a rule that it has to be our current rvs or only Wildcat rvs, then I'll change my map. My vote would go for states camped in during a member's lifetime.
Now, if we had a map on the 'Cat, we would probably just include the states that she's actually camped in.

Good luck.
I have not limited my map to the Wildcat. If I camped there (tent, pickup, camper, trailer, etc) I included it.

Re: Quick View of Google member Map.. See where everyone lives
OK, blame it on me
I believe the discussion was that if you camped in the state, you add it to your map. If you just pass through the state, using it as just an over nighter, then you don't add it to your map.
No discussion about what type of camper, ie, CAT or tent or P/U or anything.
So, I would still say, that above holds true, as long as you have stayed in that state in any kind of sleeper.

Camperfriends Austria It was pretty cool to see your blue dot in Europe. Congratulation on being the first and hopefully not the last.
