New member from Del Rio Texas
Howdy all, I am in the Air Force and me and my family are currently stationed at Laughlin AFB, in Del Rio Texas. We just recently purchased a 2010 Wildcat 31BH2B. This is our first 5th and so far we are really enjoying it. I am so happy that I found this site, I have learned so much in the past two days by looking at it. I have had my Cat for a week and a half and it is already back at the dealership for service. I wish that I would have found this site before I took it back in, because I could have probably fixed all of the things that I took it in for on my own. We did get to camp in our new cat over the labor day weekend and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately that is where we discovered the problems that we had and subsequently returned the trailer for service. We told them to have it ready by the 24th because we want to go camping in it again. I have learned that what I thought were odd issues are pretty common by reading some of the others post. I see that there are quite a few people from Texas on here, we should all try to meet up sometime and camp together. All you Texans know the Texas State Fair starts in a few weeks, sounds like a perfect excusee to hook up the trailers and meet up.

Glad you found the site Atcboomer, and yes theres a bunch of you in TX. I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't already been spotted or have seen someone else from here on the road.
Hope you get your cat sq'd away. If you come across other problems just pop a line up and I'm sure someone will tell you how to fix it. Or prevent it.

Re: New member from Del Rio Texas
Welcome Atcboomer. Retired AF here. I retired from Kelly AFB (Lackland) back in 2000. Don't miss it at all, but sure don't regret any of it either. We kept trying to get out that way when we lived in San Antonio, but just never made it. Now we're in the Houston area, so it's a bit far for our weekend excursions.
Anyway, hope you get your Cat out soon and are able to hit the road. If you have a chance, I highly recommend the Frio River area, Garner State Park (or one of the other campgrounds close by...Parkview Riverside used to be great, but I heard they changed owners and kinda took a turn for the worst) in particular.
Enjoy, and looking forward to seeing more from you!

Re: New member from Del Rio Texas
to the forum from another Texas member. If you decide to go to the State Fair, please post dates and a campground you are planning on using. It may be that some of us could make it. I've never been to the Texas State Fair and have thought about taking our 9 yr. old grandson this year if we can schedule it. Make a post and let's see if any interest is stirred from those close enough to make it. Kind of short notice, but it could work out.

Hey Bob, you (and your grandson especially) would really enjoy the State Fair. We went a few years ago and it was pretty neat. Lots of stuff to see and do there and more food than oughtta be allowed by law!
