City Water Connections

Post by RonK on 9/12/2010, 3:54 pm

Just a few trips complete with the new 2011 28 RKBS. We stayed at Robinson St Park in Nebraska with full hookups and I'm looking for ideas for connecting to city water. It's a tight space in the box with the water connector and tank pull handles. Could not get my 90 and pressure regulator connected leakfree.

Your pressure regulator should always be connected to the water spigot before your water hose.

This way it protects your hose and all plumbing. Also gives much more room in your access panel. Wink

Thanks, I will try that. I am a little concerned about the city water connection. It seems a little flimsy.

If you still need an elbow RonK,this is the one I use and it doesn't leak at all.

RonK,

I took this pix at Asheville East KOA. Water pressure there was anywhere from 90 to 120 psi. The diameter of the water hose was at least 1.25 inches. Pretty good for a .75" line. The gals who worked registration always told our incoming campers to use a pressure reducer at the hosebib and if they didn't have one, we'd loan them one.

The results of a split water hose aren't pretty. lol!

Mike: That is a good picture. That will make one to think about installing the Pressure Reducer at the spigot
