All Done
Yesterday was our last day here at Asheville East KOA. Kinda bittersweet for us ..... sad to be leaving, but glad to be going.
We're meeting our daughter, son-in-law and grandson in Gettysburg on Friday and then go on to the Lancaster area and Strasburg. Even though our grandson is 13, he still loves anything about trains and railroading. We'll see the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum and the Strasburg RR, plus touring the Lancaster/Amish country.
We'll be home in NH on the 19th and begin planning for the big trip to the northwest next season.
We'll post some pix of our mini-trip as we go.

Re: All Done
Since you will be in the area, the Hershey RV show starts Sept 15, and runs for 5 days. We will be there on the 16th or 17th.
And we only live 25 miles from Strasburg RR.
Where are you staying in Gettysburg?

We'll be in Gettysburg from the 10th to the 14th. Staying at the Battlefield KOA. Then on to Strasburg from the 15th to the18th where we'll be at Millbridge Village. We'll probably do the Boston show in February.

Re: All Done
Made it home in fine shape on the 19th after a great trip. The time with our daughter's family in Gettysburg and Strasburg was super. We hit the Strasburg RR during Thomas Week, but since we were there on a week-day the crowds weren't all that bad. Also ate a Millers on US-30. What a treat.
Spent the next week unloading all of our "STUFF" from the Cat. UGHH! Oh well, that's the price we pay for being most-timers.
Gonna take the Cat up to Weare to Cold Spring Camp Resort sometime in the middle of October for the annual interior cleanup, tank flush & cleaning and general prep for winter (that's wintah to you New Englanders). Cold Spring is one of the great NH campgrounds. Very, very clean, good staff and right in the middle of great things to do. Also has an associated RV dealership right next door with a great parts dept.

Hey Mike,
Welcome home. I am going to Danforth Bay this weekend. should be nice with limited crowds. Maybe even some decent foliage.

We were up at Alton Bay on Saturday. The eastern ridge above the bay is just starting to turn, as is the foliage around Wolfeboro. Have fun.
