Headed up the Oregon Coast
The end of the month were headed up to Oregon coast. Plan stopping in at Gold Beach and going on the Rouge River Boat Ride and continue up the coast line. I'll post some pics when we get back.....

I know you will enjoy the trip. We last made that trip 3 years ago (pre WC), traveling from Morrow Bay to Vancouver Island. Wonderful trip and hope to do it again before too long.

Great timing... It should be cool and nice on the coast. 100 degrees here in Redding today. Brookings, Coos bay,,, many nice places to stay and enjoy the ocean.

Re: Headed up the Oregon Coast
We are waiting on those pics Bill!
We spent just under 3 weeks in the PNW in '98. Northern Oregon, Washington, BC and Vancouver Island. We flew from Charleston to Seattle and rented a car. We put well over 3000 miles on the rental in those three weeks. You name it and we seen it or at least drove by it!
We had hotel reservations for the first and last night of our trip. Every night in between we stayed where the road took us! Best vacation we've ever had.
Victoria is simply breath-taking beautiful! I'll never forget our whale watching tour in Victoria. Sitting in the cold waters of the pacific in a rubber boat, 75 degrees, bright sunshine and perfect blue bird skies. A 40' whale swimming directly underneath us and looking over at snow capped mountains; Another whale jumping clear of the water all at the same time...
I'll always have that picture in my mind if I live to be a Hundred.

Don't forget to visit the Dallas WC factory and do the tour. It's not far from the coast. It's about 45 minutes inland between Newport and Tillamook.
I designed my uncle's house just minutes north of Gold Beach. He has RV parking so we stayed there for a few days in 2007. Here's part of their view:

The view extends to the south, but I found this odd shot from within the house.

Re: Headed up the Oregon Coast
We did the factory tour in Oct/09 after we ordered our Cat. Great time on the tour, learned a few things.
Sean, when we ordered the unit and I had Forest River change the location to the front. I forgot to order it when I ordered the trailer. So when I realized my error I called Forest River to add it so they did,and didnt charge me anything.

Re: Headed up the Oregon Coast
Returned home today from a week along the Oregon Coast Line. We had a great time on our adventure, the Cat performed perfect. We had a chance to meet with a member at the RV park (MCRD67) and his charming wife along the Rouge River at the 4 Seasons RV-Park. There was also another Cat there but the owners had left the Cat and went back home for a wedding.
We drove up to Tillamock for the day did the cheese thing and had a great time. We found some new RV sites to stay in the next time we head back up along the Oregon Coast.....
MCRD67 it was nice meeting you and your wife. Hope you had a safe trip back home....
