RECALL NOTICE : 2011 wildcats weight issue : PLEASE READ

Attention FOREST RIVER / WILDCAT Owners!
Forest River is recalling certain model year 2011 Wildcat travel trailers manufactured from January 1, 2010 through july 22, 2010. The information for the models' gross vehicle weight rating, gross axle weight rating, tires, rims, and air pressure was incorrectly inputted in the corporate computer system. As a result, the gross axle weight rating label and the tire label on the vehicles is incorrect and may lead an owner to inadvertently overload the vehicle.

Consequence:
An overload condition may result in an axle or tire failure increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy:
Forest River will be mailing corrected labels to retail purchasers, and/or to dealers. The safety recall began on August 9, 2010. owners may contact Forest River at 574-206-7600.

Makes you wonder about this recall regarding my axles failing while driving down the interestate during a vacation trip of ours.

We have a 2009 Wildcat that the axle failed, tore up our tires causing a tow bill and scared my family of 5 to death.

We could not tow the RV due to the fact how due you get it up on a trailer with an axle that is falling off, so therefor he had to rig it so that it could at least drive it to safety.

Needless to say, my husband had to get us a ride while bringing it back home with sparks flying...otherwise it would had stayed on the interestate for days!

I am scared to death to use ours in fear of axles flying off, killing my family!

I wonder what 2011 models, I'm due to acquire a new (left over) 2011 shortly?
