I used this when we got caught in a bad hail storm in Georgia. Worked really good, but after a while, it looks like we have a 4 inch square of dirt up there.

Be sure to put a peice on each side of the awning.

Camping World claims it is invisible; they just don't say for how long.

Scott, it is invisible at first. The odd part is, its dirty looking under the whole piece of tape, not just the edges like where my fingers would have touched. But one thing for sure, its really sticky.

Probably not uv resistant and it changes color in the sun; at least it doesn't tear any further.

It could be that the glue on the tape is pulling the dirt our of the awning as well. Can you remove that piece and put on another? Maybe it will stay a bit cleaner. Just a thought...

We had a tear in our awning once from an altercation with a tree (quite a tight campsite). All I had around was some (white) eternabond. Worked like a charm, still holding.

Re: Awning repair

I need a little help with my Awning also. While backing into the storage building this Fall for Winter storage i had to pull forward and when i did the right side (awning side) of our 5th Wheel dropped off cement slab and rub about a 8-10 inch long hole in our awning. isn't very wide but am curious if liquid plastic or something like that would work for me. Our Insurance company said it is covered under our policy and i only have a $100 deductible BUT i am really not sure if need a whole new awning or not. Any thoughts??? Thanks for the suggestions and sorry this is long.

Mark
For $100I would replace the awning. From some of the winds we have experienced in the past I don't think liquid plastic would hold up. Just my .02 worth. Happy New Year. Jim

They make some awning repair tape thats kinda clear duct tape looking material, I've used that and it worked. Figure 10 bucks for that stuff. for 90 bucks more you could have a custom awning made with your initials on it ..... lol!

Yeah, i agree with that. spending $100 to get a brand new awning is the smartest idea.
