Hand and Foot

Hand and Foot
I've ordered the 6 decks of cards, the automatic shuffler, and the 6-deck holder for discards. An envelope for the "foot" isn't a problem. I want to make card holders for each player. I know they are made of yarn, and what? plastic canvas? cardboard? Anybody have instructions? If you have such a card holder, you know what I'm talking about. Step-by-step instructions, and a photo or two would be very helpful.
We play Hand and Foot whenever we go to Florida to visit my brother and sil. They will be coming here in less than two weeks, and we'd like to surprise them with our own Hand and Foot set. If no one can help, and if I can't find instructions at Hobby Lobby, I'll have to ask my sil to bring some holders, but then it won't be a surprise.
Scruffy has recovered from his broken foot, and now he is super busy doing stuff around here that didn't get done for the past 7 or 8 weeks, so he really doesn't have time to make the wooden card holders. I can make the yarn ones while I'm watching West Division First Place Texas Rangers playing baseball. GO RANGERS!!!!

Card holder
We had set of card holders when I was a kid
that was two round discs that was spring loaded together that had a flange edge so cards could be added or taken out.

Re: Hand and Foot
Hand and Foot is the favorite card game of DW's family. Have never seen them use card holders other than their hands.
