10-4 on the golf carts we've been camping there for about 20 years now we used to go in july or aug. when the kids were small but now we go after labor day not as crowded and the rates are almost 1/2 price 1st trip for our first grandson 11 months old should be different but his dad started camping at 7 months.

Re: Pirateland Campground Myrtle Beach SC
Someone else was telling me about another campground on the north side of myrtle that was nicer than pirate land. Not sure of the name. Have you stayed at any on the north side ?

Re: Pirateland Campground Myrtle Beach SC
IMO, Lakewood Campground, just right down the street from Pirateland is a little nicer. It is a given fact that the sites are a several feet wider. We have stayed at both but prefer Lakewood Campground every year. No matter where you stay, you will get to hate golf carts. I think they have more golf carts than actual campers. LOL. Lakewood has always offered activities for the children that they love. Overall, its a great place. Have fun.

I didn't ride through lakewood, but looking across the little creek it did look a lot calmer over there.
The place we stayed in St augustine reminded me of Lakewood.
right on the beach and really quiet and laid back.
