plastic housing on water filter
I discovered I needed to change the filter on mine since the water pressure had dwindled down to almost nothing. It took a very helpful male camper to "break the seal on the housing so I could get the old filter out. We screwed the plastic container back on with no filter until I could get a new one from the local camp store. Again, same problem. I can not get the plastic container loose (even using the trusty dusty little plastic "wrench" supplied). Any ideas?
Thanks much!

Re: plastic housing on water filter
You could try opening a faucet to relieve any pressure first.
Maybe a little Vaseline on the rubber O ring.
Are you putting the trusty dusty little plastic "wrench" all the way up the canister.
Use both hands to pull on the wrench.
Ours takes a some effort too to get it off.....

I put a light coat of plumbers grease on the O ring and also the canister threads. Hand tight is all it needs now with no leaks.

First time I changed my filter I pulled the screws out trying to get it off. Then I did like Tom said and put some Vaseline on the ring and threads, much better.
