Location of black tank connection

Post by jacandjan on 8/21/2010, 12:57 pm

About a year after we got our trailer i got to thinking that i really didn't like the black tank flush connection being located directly over the fresh water connection. I was afraid that water from a comtaminated hose at the dump station would run down and contaminate the fresh water connection. At the time i figured that it was just a mix up from the factory and i just reversed the two connections. I emailed Beverly Scott about it and she sent me new stickers to put on the outside wall indicating what was what.

Now after seeing FRDFAN 's Rig in the picture at the top of the forum, it looks like they are all like this. Has anyone else made this change or are our rigs the only ones ??

Mine is the same as yours was. Good idea though and a very easy mod....

EDIT: UPDATE!!!!

Sorry, mine has the city water connection on top, and the black flush on the bottom....

This is one area where FR has made huge improvements on the new campers.

All connections and valves are now inside one single compartment. It even has a light.

I guess we are fortunate. Our black water flush is to the side and slightly lower than the fresh water connection

My unit has the black flush on the left of the basement door and my city water is to the right of the door. My tank fill is far right rear.

My black water tank flush fitting is below the potable water fitting.

All but one valve and flush on my 08 32QBBS are located in the compartment door as pictured. I have a hidden valve for the second toilet located on the frame rail near the end of the trailer and my second flush is almost directly over my shore power connection. I can't figure out why they would put a water connection so close to electricity.
