Ordered my first cat..
I just ordered my first cat, what should I expect or looked out for when I pick it up? After spending the last 2 years staying in a small cabin and uncomfortable beds we decided to buy a cat. We went to the rv shows and we love the floor plan on the 34flr. What is the #1 item you cannot live without in your cat?

Beer ? no not really , I barely drink. I think the only thing I'd change and "probably will " would be the sofa. Change it out to a nice leather love seat type recliner. The jack knife sofa's are crap. Someone else here changed theres out and it looks great.
Slide toppers are a must. Get the biggest of everything you can order you won't regret it later ex: hot water heater, toppers, a/c unit, etc.....
I'm sure you'll get a lot of different answers to your main question though.
Every time I have to stay at a hotel now, It just feels even more nasty , even a nice 5 star. I love sleeping in my own sheets. Kinda feels like borrowing somebody elses underwear when I have to sleep in a hotel bed.
Theres a good walk through sheet that you need to print out and take with you. Hopefully you won't find anything wrong, but its nice to be able to spot stuff you wouldn't normally be looking for having the list with you. It will be an overwelming day on the walk through. Hopefully you have a good dealer that will give you time to go through the list. And don't hesitate to go up on the roof and look it over good, take the guy with you. Put your hands on stuff all over the camper, shake it, look how its bolted or calked, or whatever,,,,, make'em hook a water hose up and put pressure on the lines.

Congrats Don! We looked at the 34FLR and liked it, except for the bed. We didn't really care for the excess head of the bed in the slideout. Otherwise, very nice. One thing we added pretty quick to ours was a foam topper on our mattress. Wow...what a difference.

Re: Ordered my first cat..
and Congrats!!We love the larger a/c and the slide toppers!! Ordered the toppers from the dealer and installed them myself (with the help of the DW of course....)
Lots of modifications on here so be careful when you have that "I will just add this..." or " I will only upgrade this to a slightly better one....."
It will get you going and there is no stopping after the first mod!!
Ask lots of questions and enjoy the new Cat!!!

That list that Phillip posted is the best that I have ever seen.
Here is a group of list that will be helpful after you get the cat home:

get the memery foam mattres topper right away, we bought the 11/2 thick one at Camping World and that made a huge diffrance.
