Ari Lift air bag suspension
We were coming down out of the Rockies when we stopped for lunch. Got out and noticed my compressor for the air bags was running. Quick check to the guages and it wasn't holding air. I pulled the fuse just as I heard the last gasping / grinding / clunking noises coming from the compressor.
Got home and crawled under to see what was going on and this is all thats left of my compressor!

Now I purchased this system (Load Controller I) over 3 years ago and installed them just over 2 years ago....
I e-mailed Air lift and they e-mailed and called the houes to discuss. I told them my time line of purchasing / installing and asked how I could buy a replacement compressor and hoses?
Ben said we need to find out if the hoses or the bags were the faulty component, so he sent me 2 schrader valves (valve stems) to plug into my system and check for leaks. Found the hoses to have a large hole.
Called Ben, told him my findings, and he charged me $15.00 shipping and handling for a new compressor and all the air hose I need!
Now thats customer service!!
I love my air bags, and I will ALWAYS go with and recommend Air Lift to any and all that ask!
Oh yeah I asked Ben if there was an indicator / thermal shutoff that I could buy to keep this from happening again. My guages are mounted in a storage compartment in the center console. I like the clean look so you can't see the guages unless your setting the pressures let alone hear the compressor while driving down the road!

I ran by Radio Shack to pick up a red L.E.D. and a 12v 30A rocker switch. I am going to wire the new switch bewteen the fuse and the controls for a quick shut off if needed. The red L.E.D. will be install between the control switch and the compressor so it will light up when the compressor is actually running.
Will try to take pics as I go and post them if there is interest.

Did you investigate what might have put a hole in your line?
Anyway, glad to know it all turned out well for you. I really like where you're mounting your gauges...very stealthy!!

Not quite sure what caused the hole? It appears that the hose had a weak spot and the bounding of the trailer putting all that additional load on the system may have caused it to pop. Not 100% sure but thats what it looks like....
I did get a brand new compressor, hose, and 5 push connectors today from the FedEx guy!
WooHoo! get some time in the garage tomorrow.
