How to turn on the climatech polar system in my 09 WC Loft?
I recently bought a 2009 WC 30 loft and was getting familiar with it. I was looking for the switch that turns on the polar package (tank heaters) and can not find one anywhere. I was told that some 5ths have a auto system that does not require it being turned on and off. is this true?

There is no such system on any Wildcat. That's just what Forest River calls it's covered underbelly. The underbelly is heated when the furnace runs. Your trailer is not a 4-season unit.

I wondered why my little 25' TT would need a huge, noisy 30K BTU furnace when I bought it. Then I found out about the "heated" tanks. I wish I could have opted out of this feature some how.

Has anyone checked to see how good the heating really does in the tank area. I know they make wireless temperature units that send the information to a monitoring unit, it would be very interesting to know if they really are staying above freezing in cold weather.

I don't know but a long length of pipe from my kitchen grey tank and all the valves are out in the cold so it couldn't be any too effective.

Hi sac110370 and
to the forum!!
We also have an 09 30Loft and we purchased it with every bell and whistle that was on the invoice sheet. We did not see an option for "Polar package". But like Mopar_Earl said, it really doesn't exsist from Forrest River. Its the heated under belly / basement that "simulates" a heated tank option.......
Unless you bought the aftermarket heating strips and had them installed, you won't find your switch...
Ask any and all questions here in the forum and if you want specifics on the 30 Loft shoot me a PM. If I can answer it I will.
Hope you enjoy the Cat as much as we do!

I came aross this info from the Wildcat brochure on the Polar Weather Insulation Package. Note the tanks are heated by the furnance (when running) and not by tank heaters. Also the tanks/underbelly aren't insulated either.
Earl
Wildcat’s Polar Weather Insulation Package:
· Fully Heated and Enclosed Holding Tanks
· Heated Fresh Water Tanks 56 Gal. (43 Gal. 24RL)
· Insulated Bunk Room Floors
· Insulated and Heated Full Pass Through Storage
