Backing up on to 5th wheel

Post by Sean on 8/17/2010, 5:33 am

I have just done a little bit of a modification to the pin box, I have added a mirror to help me when I backup to the hitch, it is angled so that I can see the hitch just by looking in my rear view mirror and lining up the little magnetic Ariel with the jaws I have used this method twice now and it makes life so much easier. With having a short body on my truck and the Pulrite hitch I can now hitch up om my own.

Well, now that's pretty neat, though I've not had any problem with the 5th wheel. I actually thing it's one of the easiest things I've ever hitched to. My boat and my old TT were buggers...even with the spotter. That being said, I can sure see where that would make it even easier for sure!
