Warranty problems...

Post by Les on 8/13/2010, 7:05 am

Hello friends,
Glad I found some fellow Wildcat owners. I recently bought a 25RL and am having trouble with the warranty department. I have been talking (when he'll answer) with Rod Batts and it is going excruciatingly slow. Anyone know of another way to approach this? Short story... Took a long time to get approval, told to have repairs done and pay myself, I did and now am having hard time getting reimbursed. Suggestions please...
And again, good to find you folks,
Les

to the forum!! My experience with Rod is that he is a one man operation regarding approvals. He allowed me to use my local RV repair as long as the repair was done by a certified person (which he is). My repairman delt with Rod on costs and reimbursement. I am certain that it was a slow process as both Rod and my repairman were busy and couldn't make timely responses to each other.

While traveling, my converter went out and by chance we happened to be on our way through Elkhart, so my dealer contacted Rod and I was scheduled into their shop for warranty replacement and they took care of a couple of other issues while there. It was really a smooth operation -- in at 8:00 and out at 3:00.

I hope things go ok for you. I would continue to keep in touch with Rod, and again welcome to the forum

to the forum.

I have never conversed with Rod, but from reading here, most folks have to keep after him because he seems to be very busy and doesn't seem to get back to everyone like he should.

Les, Welcome to the forum. What type of warranty issue are you having? If you purchased your unit from a dealer have you talked to them, if they are a good dealer they should be able to help.

I see that you are from Washington, if you have a West Coast trailer maybe try the west coast factory support.
