Brrrrrr !!
Although the daytime temperatures have been around 90, the nighttime temperatures at elevation can get quite chilly. We spent Monday night in Cheyenne, WY and the overnight temp dropped to 47 degrees. Last night the temp dropped to 48 degrees here in Lander, WY. I'm so glad I don't tent camp anymore and have an RV with a furnace.
In Cheyenne we stayed at the KOA. During our unhitching procedure, when I pushed the landing gear switch the landing gear started to move and then stopped. The inline fuse was very difficult to remove and the fuse was still good....nuts. Put the fuse back in and the landing gear started working again. Hmmmmm, that's very strange.
Our reservation at Flagg Ranch in the Tetons doesn't start until Thursday so we will be spending one more night here in Lander. Today we plan to visit Sinks Canyon State Park which is just a few miles from Lander. We are staying at Pioneer RV Park.
I'm really impressed with our new Ford truck. That 6.4 diesel is a monster and eats up mountain grades. I really like the tow/haul mode when going down the mountain grades. While towing the truck has been averaging 12.2 MPG on relatively flat land down to 10.5 MPG in hill country. I know a lot of people knock the fuel mileage of the 6.4 engine, but after having a gas V10 that averaged 6.2 MPG towing, I'm tickled to death with the 6.4 engine.

If you want to warm up a little, Thermopolis is just a little over an hour to the north. They have the Hot Springs State Park there.

Nothing like kicking back in a natural hot spring to pull all the aches and pain right out of you!

We visited Thermopolis the first time we went to Yellowstone NP. Those hot springs have a very strong smell of sulpher in them.

Re: Brrrrrr !!
Keep an eye on the electrical service at Flagg; when we were there it had some problems, floating ground and not a lot of capacity.
