Yes, DH Richard and I are headed up to Yellowstone now. I know he'll keep us safe.

I was there the last two weeks of August. Didn't run into these two nice looking fellas.

I believe they rounded up all these rascals, including the girlfriend. They're all doing hard labor for Uncle Sam.

Getting that close to a bull elk doesn't make him wild...it makes him a park pet in the eyes of those tourists!! Evidently, those folks didn't realize he could have charged them unexpectedly and unprovoked. What some people will do for a photo...??

On the positive side, I'll bet the gal on her knees got a good picture though.

I too was suprissed at how careless people get when wild animals are visable. We even saw a child, maybe 14 running towards a grizzly to film it. She wasn't 100 feet from it. The parents must have let her get out of their van.
