Work Ready Tests

Post by Admin on 8/3/2010, 4:21 pm

has anyone had to take the new Work Ready tests ? Its like a 3 part test , applied math - locating information- reading for information.

I was thinking about applying at a company that a friend of mine just started at. He told me they require the work ready certificate from the labor department. Even though I have a good job I thought if another lab job comes open I might apply for it. So I went and took the test this morning basically for the heck of it. Breezed through the math, breezed through the reading for information, got to the Locating informatioin part and thought I was doing pretty good, I passed it but didn't do as good as I thought I was doing. They rate you on the lowest score of the 3 parts. But ,,,,, You can go back and retake it to improve your rating. I missed the high score by one point. So ,,,,
1. remember to take my reading glasses.
2. Don't go take a test the morning after you get back from vacation.
3. Why in the world would you go hurt your brain on a monday morning ?
4. After age 45, Educational test should be against the law.
5. Don't let that one point kick your butt,,,,,, I'm heading back for a rematch on that one part.
