Battery, don't forget them.
As much as we talk about batteries around here, it seems like I wouldn't forget that I have one up front in my camper. But low and behold, I got to the beach last week and the battery was dead as my brain.
The guy next to me walks over and says " I bet the water/acid level is low ". My heart sank and I was pretty sure it was probably bone dry,,,,,, and it was. So he loaned me a brand new battery he had in the back of his truck while I topped mine off and recharged it. I didn't get a chance to put a fresh charge on it before I left for the beach so I did have enough brain cells firing to think to bring the charger along.
Why in the world did I not pop the caps off the battery to check it in the last YEAR ?

I have four GC batteries. I have the Pro-Fill watering system that refills all the cells at once and stops filling each cell when they are full. I reload every few months. It only takes about two minutes to recharge with distilled water. Just hook up the hose to the system and the other end in the distilled water and pump until the pump won't pump anymore. Usually only takes a few cups each time.
