Beat the Heat - WV style

Since we've been talking about the heat quite often lately....

Here's one way we "cooled down" a few weeks back.

Whitewater rafting on the Lower New River. This is a class 4 section of river. As hot as its been, we've still had plenty of rain. The river was running just above normal on this day.

Perfect levels for a fun day!

Thats gotta be you with the paddle out of the water in the front. I can hear the guide now.

" KEEP YOUR PADDLE IN THE WATER, KEEP PADDLING"

Nope! Thats me in the white Tshirt and big grin on my face. My wife behind me in green. The guy getting hammered by the big rolling wave is 1/2 of our main camping buddies. His wife behind him in the sunglasses.

The young girl is our guides daughter. She's been on the river since age 5.

We had a blast! Can't wait to do it again.
