PEPPERMINT ICE CREAM

1 ½ cup peppermint stick candy (crushed) **I use hard round peppermint candy and put them in a large freezer baggie, then inside another baggie. Remove all air before crushing. Pound with a rubber mallet on a hard surface. You don’t have to make it all completely dust.**

Vanilla Ice Cream Mix:

Mix till stiff, 4 eggs & 2 ¼ cups sugar. Then add 5 cups Half & Half, 4 ½ tsp. vanilla, ½ tsp salt.

Put all ingredients and internal components in can. Add whole milk to proper level and put in crushed peppermint. Start turning immediately.

We have never had anyone taste this that didn’t come back for more.

Hope you enjoy it.

A dish of cold peppermint ice cream would be great in this hot weather.
