Slide Topper

Post by azandy700 on 7/31/2010, 12:11 pm

I'm tring to install the Carefree slide topper. Seems pretty simple. I have an issue installing the brackets. They need to be positioned so the bolts screw into the room frame. This is about 2" below and side of the outter flange on the slide out.
The track with the rubber insert covering up screws is there. As it is all over on this Cat. It must be where seems are. Do any of you know if I need to remove this and cut it. The bracket won't work over this. I can't seem to find a pic anywhere. Most slides have just a metal track that is almost flush.
Any help would be great.

Put it next to the track, it will be fine.

When I put mine on, I ran the screws in, then backed them out a bit, siliconed them, then ran them in tight again. Also use butyl tape behind the bracket to help seal the holes.

I just looked at mine, the sides of the bracket are right beside the track and the top of the bracket (which is angled) is also right up at the track.

If you need a picture, let me know.
