JT Stabilizer Question
Just wondered if anyone had mounted the rear stabilizers straight forward from the rear jacks and attached them to the frame instead of angling them from a rear cross member. Seems like most of the wiggle from stab jacks would be front to back and not so much side to side. Any feedback from someone who has done it this way, or seen it done would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: JT Stabilizer Question
I have been looking at the different brands of Stabilizers.
With the rear going side to side and the front set going side to side should take care of the side to side shake. The other set on the front should take care of the front to back shake.
A good set of between the wheel chocks is a must. The wheel chocks help with side to side and front to back shake.

Driverguy, that's are how mine rear are mounted to ward the front on the frame. the front has struts in both ways ,to the frame . works well that way . just use blocks under the rear to keep the jack shorten up, if needed. and always use wheel locks.

Thanks Jameseh, I am going to help my dad install a set on his Big Country next weekend and I think that is what we will do.

Re: JT Stabilizer Question
I mounted my rear JT stabilizers from the jacks to the center at a slight angle (I used my rear hitch as a mounting point). With the stabilizers unlocked, I can move the trailer side to side if I push the bumper. If I tighten the stabilizers, it's solid. If you mount them forward, you will be able to move it side-to-side at the rear.

Re: JT Stabilizer Question
Thanks for the replies. The trailer does have a rear hitch so maybe that would be just as easy. The underbelly is enclosed so trying to use a cross member might be a hassle.
