Slideouts with no power to them
Hi My wife and I just purchased a 2005 Wildcat28rk. We are having it hauled to where we have two acres of bush. Just bush, no water, no septic, no hydro. To conserve my deep cycle batteries may I manually crank the slideout out and if I can how is that done? Thanks

Re: Slideouts with no power to them
Hi and
to the forum. Are your slide electric or hydraulic?, if they are hydraulic there is a little plate on the rear of the motor that can be removed and you can use a drill and attachment to operate the pump. not sure if you have to operate the switch at the same time though. Don't forget to isolate the batteries other wise the pump would run normally

Re: Slideouts with no power to them
,,,,, Your a perfect candidate for a solar panel. Check with Jetskier and a few others on here about their solar panels for battery chargeing.
Heres a link to all the solar panel topics

If you have a generator that would also charge your battery I think.

Re: Slideouts with no power to them
Welcome to the forum, there should be a place in front of the pump head where you can insert a 1/4" hex-bit. Go to page 6 of the slideout manual: http://www.lippertcomponents.com/OwnersManuals/Slideout/Hydraulic%20Slideout-Web.pdf

Re: Slideouts with no power to them
Rather than extend the slides manually, after unhitching the trailer and leveling, I would back the truck up to the trailer and plug the pigtail back into the truck and use the power of the truck battery to open the slides.
