COE Parks in AR
We have stayed at the following COE Parks in Arkansas during the past month and found them all to be very nice. Level sites, water and electric and lots of trees giving partial or full shade. All also sites had fire pits and picnic tables. Can't beat the price for a few days of relaxation. With a Senior Access Pass you are looking a $9.00 per day.

Re: COE Parks in AR
When we lived in Tulsa, we drove past Toad Suck Park often on our way to places in the Southeast. We always wondered about Toad Suck Park and finally looked it up on the net. Now that we're in TX, we don't go that way anymore.

No. It is open to the public. Are you over 62 you can get the Senior Access Pass that let you stay for half price. If you are a disabled person you can get a Golden Access Pass.

No, I'm a long ways away from that!
Do they have a website? I've looked at the main corps of engineers site, but I can't find anything.

http://www.reserveamerica.com/ and if you don't have the Senior Access or Disabled pass most charge from $18 to $22 per night. The sites listed on this site as Federal will be either COE or National Parks.
This is the link for making online reservations in the Federal Parks. http://www.recreation.gov/

You can also look for information on just the COE sites at: Corps Lakes Gateway
Use Recreation.gov for reservations.

Thanks, sadly, nothing in Extreme SoCal, but what was I thinking? You need water for a lake . . .
