12 volt circuit breakers
Every time I put I put down the front landing legs or put the slides in or out the circuit breaker would trip. Thinking that I had a breaker that was weak I started to search for a replacement, then I thought that for the breaker to go wrong so quickly there had to be a underlying problem else where. On further investigation I found that the crimp connections on the earth cables where not crimped correctly, and had a little movement between the crimp and the cable. Which was making the pump draw too many amps for the breaker to hold, so to remedy the situation all I had to do was to disconnect the cable and re crimp. Now the problem is solved and I have saved money by not having to buy a replacement breaker.
Please be aware to isolate the battery before doing any work on the cables as you could short circuit the cable due to the fact there is not much room around the pump.

Sean, what a great tip! I'm going to have to try that too. I always thought it was because of lube issues on the slide itself, but that makes sense.

Sean,
I seem to have this problem popping up too. Where exactly are these "crimp connections on the earth cables" located?
Thanks....

Tom,
I believe that he's referring to the black ground cable that goes from the pump to the frame of the Cat. It's the only one I can think of.

Mike, thanks for your reply.
Guess I'll have to look around, or just go ahead and replace the breakers......

Re: 12 volt circuit breakers
Hi, oldelmer1 sorry I have not replied just got back from a weekend away. The cables and crimps are the ones that go from the circuit breakers to the solenoids on the pump. Mine had a slight bit of play between the crimp and the cables, and re-crimping these seemed to have stopped the breaker tripping when operating the slides. The earth cable should also be looked at
