New pin box

Post by ribbs65 on 7/18/2010, 12:31 pm

Anyone with any last minute thoughts between a MORRYDE and Demco pin box to reduce the chucking?
Will purchase one or the other soon to save my back.

I think they all probably help.
I ordered a Morryde from Tweety's and put it on before our trip that we are still on. My wife and I still are amazed at how well this works. Took about an hour to install. I do not think I would own another fiver without it.
The morryde is real simple how it works. Some like trailair and 5th airborne are probably much better, but I didn't think out small unit would need that.

I vote for the Morryde. The cameo has one and you Can't even tell the camper is back there. They are probably both great boxes, but I have only had one to compare to stock.

I have the basic TrailAir. It makes a big different on the towing of our 5th Wheel.
Lippert has bought out TrailAir. They now have the TrailAir Triglide.
I do not have the Triglide. But I think I am going to look at getting an upgrade.

Does anyone know of a RV surplus type place that sells salvaged parts ? I've been trying to look up a place like that to see if they had the nice pin boxes/ wheels etc.... that maybe a tree fell on or some other damage beyond a highway crash....

I found a page with a list of salvage yards. I clicked on a couple of them and they have all kinds of stuff, surplus/salvage.

I have been satisfied with the Moryde. Bought from Tweetys and easy to install. Good to have two people to hold the weight.

I like the fact that is has some side to side movement, aswell as front to back.
