The front looks broke? Is it at light switch height?Do you have a three way light switch? Is it a motion sensor?I could go on and on.

I'm going to agree with the first response and say that it is for the concertone remote. I would suggest that it may not be hooked up to the back of the concertone which is why it doesn't work. Is it anywhere near where the television would be in the bedroom? If that is the case, I would bet money on it.

I was thinking a temp sensor for the air. Do you have a front air? I can also go along with the concertone thing and that it just wasn't hooked up.

I think the concertone answer is it. I don't really care if it is hooked up. I go to bed to sleep! Thanks folks!

We have the same in our West Coast 29RKBS....was told at the time of sale that you could link with TV in other room to watch same movie etc. (have never been able to make it work though)...sounded good at time, probably another "sales" thing.

It's the master bedroom IR receiver for the Concertone. Mine doesn't look like that, but they come in many flavors. On the Concertone side of the wire, it uses a standard head phone jack for the connection. It requires a 3 wire connection to work (12V, ground and the IR signal). Chances are it's not plugged in or the remote batteries are low. You've be surprised....
