Hilton Head RV Resort and Marina
We stayed on Hilton Head a couple weeks ago. Took me awhile to get the pics from the wife. This campground is very nice and quite. The owners are extremely friendly. We had one of the two pools all to our self a couple days in a row. The marina has charter boat fishing trips daily for a nominal fee of course!
The campground is one of the HOA style so each site is a little different depending on the owner. They taKe reservations and you pick your site when you arrive. We had a waterfront site with a deck and dock. Campers are not allowed on the docks
but the deck was nice. Water front sites are $64 and interior sites are $59 so not bad for the beach. The island is pretty nice but pricy. I was hoping to play golf one day but $100 fee is a little steep for me. Of course there is Harbor Town which is $250. We stayed four days and then headed to Myrtle Beach. If you like the quiet relaxing setting this is the place.

Re: Hilton Head RV Resort and Marina
We were gonna stay there but decided to go on down to st augustine to camp.
A lot of my family will be staying there the same week we wanted to go but my wife wanted a break from having to chase everyone elses schedule. Maybe sometime in the spring we'll get to check it out.
I've read it was kinda tricky getting in and out on the road there ? how was it ?

It wasn't too bad. You have to shoot acroos to the median but I was suprised that the traffic wasn't that heavy while we where there.
Moo - I guess for now it just a dream!
I did talk to a guy at the campground that said during the pro golf tournament they get $100 per foot to park your boat in the Harbour Town Marina. So having said that I can't afford to pay to park!

I like seeing the big big big boats coming into Harbor town that have : crew, a small boat on the lift out back, skidoo's on another lift and a hot tub up top......... Now those just make your mouth water.
I'd trade my cat in for one those in a heart beat and start camping on the water.
One of these would do me just fine.
