Old time towing
Don't know if I'm supposed to post pics in here, but didn't know where to put it.Had to show you guys this,These two pulled in to the camp ground we were staying at in S.Dakota.The dark blue one is a Buick, and the light blue one is a Mercury. They were from British Columbia,Didn't get a chance to talk to them they pulled in and went to bed. These things look sweet.

Re: Old time towing
That's a sweet looking wagon.
Don't recognize the logo on the camper though.
I saw a show on the travel channel not too long ago about travel clubs that feature old vehicles pulling old campers; it's a lifestyle for sure. And the more questions you ask them about their rigs, the better they like it!! Maybe they were heading to or back from one of those rallies.
Thanks for sharing Tracker.

Re: Old time towing
About a year ago, there were a lot of vintage trailers at WDW's Fort Wilderness. We drove through the loop and took some pictures. If someone had been outside at the time, we would have stopped. If we still had our old Fleetwing, we'd be in one of those Tin Can Tourists clubs.
Another time at Fort Wilderness we saw a club of GMC motorhomes. GM manufactured these from 1973 to 1978. These vehicles were in like-new condition. That was quite a sight to see.
We saw a long line of vintage trailers heading west on I-40 in Arizona some time ago. We were heading east, so didn't have an opportunity to meet up with them at a rest area or gas stop - or campground. That would have been great!
We keep looking for Fleetwings, but never see any. We'll just have to be happy with our photos and memories.

I love the matching color scheme of the Buick and the trailer. I never did like the old Mercurys.
