Beach Camping
We camp here from June till October. Depending on the beach available, you can find up to 100 campers at at time. This past weekend, we went from beach front to water front.

Re: Beach Camping
The U.S. has lots of beachfront - where is yours located?
Looks like you're having a mini rally.

Re: Beach Camping
we were at Montauk, NY. We normally have about 40 feet from the front of the camper to the water, but this week we had a full or new moon on the way so it brought the water way to close. At one point it was about 10 feet from the landing gear of the cat. Had a great time though

Same thing I was thinking. Must be very hard packed sand.
We recently drove on the beach at the Outer Banks. First time I had driven on the beach in many years. No way on earth could I have towed our Cat on those beaches. I seen many people stuck while just driving their vehicles. (all 4wd) I aired down to about 18lbs in each tire and still had trouble in the deep sand. Several places if you stopped, you were stuck.

Re: Beach Camping
The sand is usually ok. It is never ever hard packed, there is no such thing as hard packed sand up here. This past weekend was unusually loose. Quik sand is a better word. We air down to between 12-18 lbs even on the cat. No one really ever gets stuck. It is actually very easy to pull a camper down the beach, give it a try, we do it every other weekend in the summer
