So you think it is hot back East.

Post by Maxtor on 7/6/2010, 5:35 pm

It was only 104 degrees here today, but it is supposed to warm up next week. Here in California we have a place called DEATH VALLEY,,, that has a recorded high of 134 degrees...Here is what they are getting next week for a average temperature of 119.6 degrees. When it gets down to 100 degrees they put on their coats.

I seem to recall a western guy changing his entire vacation plans because it was too hot here in the east. I believe that was well before the heat actually arrived.

Our weather over the mountain has been mild. The outlook is mid 80's with lows in the mid 50's. I can live with that. I'm sure we'll see the 100's later in the month or August.

What we found in Maryland is that people are REAL clean.... Three showers a day do that to a person.

lol!

Sorry; I couldn't resist Maxtor.

You think it was hot and humid then, you should be here in the Ohio Valley today. Its 99 degrees and so humid you can cut it with a butter knife!

I was completely soaked through by 8:30 this morning but I have three more days before saturday night bathing time again.

I just wish somebody would come up with a deodarant that can handle the high heat/humidity here in GA. We stink....

If you step outside your stinking within a few minutes, theres just no hope til late sept.

Phillip,,, it is time for all of you to take a trip out west.... We could all meet on the Oregon coast where it is 65 degrees and no humidity. cheers

I've got a cousin that is living somewhere in the mountains of italy. he was here over the 4th weekend, but headed back yesterday. Told me If I could get there he'd take care of the rest. I looked at my wife and she looked at me like yea buddy.

Keep Dreaming...........

The Oregon coast sounds nice to though. Just wish I could hit the lotto and retire. Until that happens I've got "O" time for much of anything.

Ok,,, it is finally going to get to normal hot temperatures for July here in Redding. I am glad that we are not in Death Valley this week.

http://weather.yahoo.com/united-states/california/death-valley-23509346/

123 degree average for the week. Friday's 126 is hot...

We will average only 104 which is still below normal for the second week in July out here.

I don't think so Tom,,,, a dry 110 is better than a HUMID 88. affraid
I thought your 35% humidity was bad,,, I could not fathom what it would be like over 80% humidity.

The temperature here in Omaha at noon central is 90 with a heat index of 104. Perfect climate to grow corn.

The local Salvation Army can't keep box fans on hand. The elderly and infirmed really suffer this time of year!!

It was 92° with a heat index of 88. RH is around 10%...maybe.

I went to the pool today with the kids. It was just plain humid in the indoor area, but it's out of the sun.

Right now just after sunset, it's 81 with 9% RH
