weekend upgrades

Post by rdsknfn_57 on 7/5/2010, 4:59 am

We stayed home all weeked, so i wanted to get 3 projects done on the cat, 1st i've always hated that my outside flood lights are on the same switch. I wanted to rewire them seperatlly but could not find where they connected together so i added a cut off switch inside my closet so if i want the 1 on on the door side only , i just use the cut off switch for the drivers side light. 2nd i replaced the honda 3000 rubber mounts with motor mount isolators to absorb some of the vibration since its mounted on the back of the 5er, 3rd i added a cover over the shower skylight using original holes for snaps and snaps that i added to a door cover and since it was 100 degrees here all weekend i made sure i stayed hydrated with margaritas.

I'm diggin' the skylight cover!

I like that better than anything I've seen so far. I believe I'll borrow that idea and do the same.

One question. What exactly is the "door cover" you used?

Mountainman, the door cover is for the door into the 5er from the outside. that what it said on the package cover.
ENTRY DOOR SHADE COVER
My wife said lets try this on the shower skylight, so we did and it lasted 2 hrs before the velcro let go. so the idea of snaps was born.

I used the same cover in our shower. Only difference is that I used industrial strength Velcro that I purchased at Wallyworld. Been up there well over a year now without any problems and the cover works great.

Not sure, but I think Scruffy's head has to fit up inside that dome. I like the idea of the snaps.

What am I missing!?!

I have searched all over Tweety's and Camping world and can't find anything remotley close to this entry door cover?!

Would love to see what the dimensions, price, and material are so I can possibly cover my door, bath and kitchen skylights.

Any additional info would be great.
