Join us for Fall Colors.
My wife and I will be in the Branson, MO area for 5 nights from the 10th of October to the 15th. We have reservations for those nights at Table Rock Lake State Park and will be in site number 219 in campground 2. If anyone is in the area during that time, stop by and say “hi” and we’ll offer you a beverage. For that matter, if anyone wants to join us make your reservations now, we‘d be happy to have company. The foliage of the Ozarks should be at peak, or very close to peak, fall colors.
I’ll be turning 65 in September so I finally qualify for the senior’s discount at Missouri State Parks. I get all of two dollars off per night of camping, woooo hoooo. That’s not even a 10% discount on the cost of a full hook up site. I’m not complaining, I just think the DNR could do better.
If you think you might be in the area here’s a picture of our rig so you know what to look for. You can't miss my truck, F250 XL trim level and ugly wheels.

Re: Join us for Fall Colors.
With all the rain they've had this year, the colors should really pop this fall!
It may not be 10%, but that $2.00 savings WILL buy you another beer.
Getting older IS good for something!

Are reservations for Table Rock required? October is still a while off. We expect that Scruffy's foot will be healed and we could get away..... but we are hesitant about making plans. My brother and SIL are thinking of coming for a visit in Sept or Oct. but haven't committed to a specific date.
We stayed at Table Rock State Park about 40 years ago. Gosh, has it really been that long? Someone who had moved out of the campsite next to us (before we got there) left a cast iron frying pan by the fire ring. It sure is a nice pan - cleaned up real good. :)

There are a number of first come, first served sites at Table Rock Lake State Park but with Branson close by, and the fall colors beginning to pop in October, I would recommend reserving a campsite. The state park recently upgraded and they now have 41 full hookup sites, and 78 electric only sites. Here’s a link to Table Rock State Park. Table Rock State Park
There’s plenty of things to see and do in the Branson/Table Rock Lake/Taneycomo Lake area and the scenery of the Ozarks in the fall can be absolutely stunning. We’ve been to the area quite a bit over the many years but this will be the first time we try to catch the fall colors.

Hopefully Scruffy will be feeling good enough for a trip to Branson. As many time as we've been to the Branson area, this will be the first time that we will camp in the state park.
That's funny about the cast iron frying pan, I don't think I can even lift one anymore.
