Super Glide Hitch

Post by Specktout on 6/22/2010, 9:10 am

I have a Super Glide hitch on my tow truck and it makes a pretty good jolt when it cam's back into center position from a turn, is there any adjustment to soften the jolt I get after a turn?

Does the head move by hand easily? Have you ever adjusted the white vinyl block in the front of the yoke?

The head moves easily and I lubricated the slide rails before hooking up the WildCat. I noticed the white vinyl block, but wasn't sure what that adjustment was for. It only hits hard after a turn and while accelerating. It seems that I have too much slack between the front of the slide and the back of the yoke after it rotates back into center tow position.

I adjusted the block alittle tighter, so we'll see next time I tow if the was the problem

Huntr70 is correct without the cat attached the head of the super glide should not move easy, but you should be able to move it by hand with a little force, and it should not have any movable space at the front when in the center position. You can go to Super Glide's web site they have the manual online to help adjust the hitch.

Welcome to the site lots of good info, please let us know how you make out many of us have Super Glides
