Propane Sensor

Propane Sensor
I just pulled the Cat out of storage, hooked up the battery and the Propane sensor keeps going off! Even when I got it home and hooked it up to shore power??
Looking at the unit it has one hole with an LED and writing right next to it stating - YELLOW: replace, RED: alarm, GREEN: on.
Mine is YELLOW and goes RED when its alarming. When I reset / silence it will change back to Yellow.
Both Propane tanks have been off since I put her in storage. I can absolutely guarantee there is NO leak.
My second year warranty runs out in July, would this be covered under the warranty or will I have to fork out $60+ for another one?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Not going to put a damper on our trip next weekend, don't plan on using propane inside the Cat anyway.......
Thanks!

Re: Propane Sensor
There may be some dust or dirt in the sensor. Try a can of pressurized air to blow it out and see if it stops. If not, I'd replace the unit.

Re: Propane Sensor
If blowing it out doesn't help then it sounds like the self diagnostics (yellow LED) are telling you to replace it. For some reason the newer ones don't last forever like the old ones did - or, maybe we just thought they did..

Re: Propane Sensor
Mine was continually going off a few weeks ago. Finally figured out that every time the temperature reached 100 degrees in the trailer it would activate the alarm.
Replaced the alarm and no further problems.
