Good Trip
Well, our trip is over, and we are back home. It was a fun and enjoyable adventure. We where able to visit these states on this trip. California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Missouri, and Kansas. We had a great time, and found new friends in Oldelmer1 and his better half.

Glad to hear you had a enjoyable adventure and are safely home. To Bad you didn't make it on down to the GREAT South and check us out on this trip. Maybe this winter you can meet up with some of us in Florida. Happy Travels. Jim

Don't worry Jim, We're ALL going to meet at Phil's house next year and have an Amalgamation Cake cook-off. He can come to that.

Re: Good Trip
It will have to be in the winter.... The humidity about killed us old folks off. It is 91 degrees here today, with 19% humidity, so not to bad. I don't think we saw less than 70% humidity in any of the places we visited in the east.
Even with the high humidity, we enjoyed our visit, but we are glad to be out west. Here is our view coming back to Redding.

Re: Good Trip
That southern humidity is why all those belles have porcelain skin and their hair dressers have to work over-time.

We gonna have a what ?
TC, my wifes a hairdresser, And yes she works some long hours to fix them flat heads.
Maxtor, It only got worse after you left the east. It was 100 plus with a feel like 105 temp today. I think the humidity was 100% at least. If you had of went to florida you would have made a special trip to middle GA to hit me in the head with a bat.
It was so hot at the lake yesterday I had to keep splashing water on the steering wheel to put my hands on it. Its an official oven here now.

Re: Good Trip
It is getting hot here, which is normal for this time of year, but it sure is more bearable with no humidity. We did not get out of humidity until we hit Colorado. Kansas and all points east was HUMID.
I can now understand how when looking at old movies of the south, when all they had was fans, why everyone was soaking wet. I have a brother in Oklahoma, and he says, don't even come to see him in the summer. July and August must be bad in Oklahoma.
