A couple Questions
Hi Everyone!
New guy..Be gentle,I have a couple questions. On my 29rlbs the landing gear does not want to work without the batteries hooked up.Do you have to have them hooked up to work the landing gear or is something wrong?
And I noticed some of you talking about pulling in tow/haul mode. I have not done that...Should I be? My truck dose not seem to be lugging or working hard.Would appreciate any help. BTW Great site.

Re: A couple Questions
First..Welcome to the group. glad you are here. The battery does need to be hooked up and in good condition. The hydraulic pump pulls directly off the battery. Use the tow/haul mode, you can't go wrong letting the trans and engine do its thing.

Re: A couple Questions
Welcome, we're always easy on new people or old members. We're all still learning something new everyday.
with the landing gear question answered. Another one that might pop up is with the battery fully charged and doing its thing, the breakers may kick out. The slides or landing gear will move a ways and stop.
A lot of us have either put in a new auto reset breaker or put in an extra one inline , theres a couple ways to go at it. Just ask or read up on it if that happens.
As for the trans in your chevy. Yea, tow mode is the sure bet way. But if your on those long flat area's of nebraska I'd flip to overdrive. Theory is as long as your trans isn't jumping back and forth trying to find a gear or lugging in high gear your good. Any hills at all and I'm in tow mode.

Re: A couple Questions
Thanks Guy's.. I haven't had any trouble with the landing gear.I was putting a cut off switch to the battery to keep it from over charging while plugged in, and bumped the gear switch. It just groaned a little and got me wondering.Once again I've found my new favorite site.Have done so much reading my head hurts.Great job fellas.
