Furnace won't heat either!!
Might as well post an inquiry on this too as long as I'm seeking help from ya'll. I discovered that the furnace fan will kick on as normal, and I can hear the ignition snapping. But I don't hear the rush of gas igniting, nor do I get any heat.
Could somebody walk me through the process of checking the line/tube for a blockage? Is there anything else common that would cause this problem besides a blockage?

I would start with the most easiest first. Tanks full and the valves open. Light all the burners on the stove top for a minute or two to clear the gas lines of any air..
Try that and see what happens…

Already did that Bill. The stove burners work fine. I just don't seem to be getting any gas to the pilot.

I'm sure you've been through it, but sometimes it takes forever to get the air out of the oven pilot. Does your refer and water heater burners light?

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
TC,
The furnace has a control board that takes the signal from the Tstat and opens the gas valve. Over time, many of the campers here have had to have that board replaced.
Just a thought .....

Were your propane tanks recently been removed/unhooked or filled????? I read somewhere before that if the tanks are removed sometimes it takes 1/2 hour for the lines to pressurize had something to do with the change over valves if I remember correctly. I personally have never had a problem with removing the hooking up the tanks in regards to this pressurizing issues.

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
I was told the other day that a cob web or spider web in the furnace gas line can be the culprit for not getting gas to the ignitor.
I wanted to pass this along to see if anyone here has had to clean out portions of their furnace. And if so, explain how and where they did the cleaning.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
TC , the guys that repaired mine couldn't find any apparent thing wrong with it before they took it out.
They removed it from the camper and put it on a bench to check it further and didn't see anything wrong.
Mounted it back in the camper and it fired up and worked perfect. So there had to of been some tiny piece of trash or cobb web or something that came loose for it to work.
I've used it on a couple of trips since then and it worked fine. fires up on the first click.

WEll, it sounds exactly like what my old TT did a couple of years ago. It was still under warranty, so I took it in. The good news...they found the problem. The bad news...not covered under warranty. They scraped two big dirt dauber nests off my burner. Cost me nearly $300...most of that in labor. Sheesh! Anyway, something else to consider.

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
Phil, maybe I should go out and try it on again. Could be that the bumps and chuck holes from highway travel this spring was enough to knock something loose in ours. Couldn't hurt to try anyway. I'll give it a go tomorrow and see if it cuts on this time.
Ed, We haven't had any problems with wasps or mud daubers for years. Just honey bees. But I don't think that's going to be the problem. I should put one of those wasp screens over my furnace exhaust opening though to prevent them from getting any ideas in the future.

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
What I started doing is put a piece of neon duct tape over the metal furnace vent at the house. When I hook up to go, as I take the wheel chokes off, the neon tape is right in my face so its not hard to forget to take it off. I'd be willing to be it was dirt daubers in mine. They had nest built all up under the skirt that I had to knock down. They will build nest in places you wouldn't think to look behind. They had built one in the little holes on the rubber part of the handle next to the door.

Re: Furnace won't heat either!!
As I said in a previous discussion on a similar problem, my "heater problems" were caused by RUST in the stainless steel tube where the gas hits the ignitor. Small particles of rust would block or unblock the gas flow depending on the roughness of the road. Very hard to find but once replaced, no further problems. Good luck.
