Sad day for our Cat!!

Post by moo2613 on 5/26/2010, 4:52 am

Today is the day we haul out Cat to it's new holding area until it's new owner picks it. I hope whoever that is will have as good of memories with it that we have had. It is sad to let it go, but we are looking forward to the new Cameo. We will spend tonight in the Cat and then be in Elkhart tomorrow around 2 pm to do the PDI on the new one.

From there, we are going into Canada and going along the north side of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and coming into Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine.... We have an appointment at the New London Ferry to Orient Point on Wednesday at 9:15, so between now and then, we have no schedule. We will spend a week at North Sea, NY (on Long Island) with the DW's family and then head home and show the Cameo where it will be staying.

Moo,
We are at my house right now, probably wait out the weekend here. CAlled around in Maine and most CG's were full. Would have liked to stay at the 1000 Islands in clayton, NY, but there just wasn't enough to keep us busy for 11 days.

COME ON OVER!!!!!

Brad, where in North sea will you be. I will there on Friday working and from there I will be heading out to Montauk for the weekend camping. I will be dropping the cat off on Wednesday and staying overnight on the beach. The wife and kids will meet me out there on Friday.

Eric, sorry I missed you. Their house is on Wooleys pond right on the water, just north of North Sea, you turn north at the white general store. We had to park on the side of the road since I couldn't get into the driveway. I was worried about the neighbors, but they all got used to us after a week. The construction guys down the street probably hated us since we took some of their parking.

We went out to Montauk on Saturday. Man have you guys got it made!!!! Where do you get out onto the beach? We pulled into the state park, but they didn't want to let us just look around since it was on a weekend.

Tom, Thanks for the invite, but I didn't have internet the whole trip. I think I am going to look into one of those wifi boosters for the camper, I could find signal, just not enough to hook up with. Time to research.

Another note, the Cat has a new owner! Since it was only ~150 extra miles, we stopped back through Elkhart on our return trip to get a few minor things fixed / adjusted and to get a few questions answered, etc. The Cat sat there with her new owners name taped on the front of her. We hope they get as much enjoyment and memories as we did. It was very hard to leave her there twice, but we really do like the Cameo.

Brad what a small world. I was working down the road on East Beach drive. I know people on Wooleys. Are you related to the people doing the construction work.? To bad we didn't meet up, I would have loved to take you out on the beach and show you what its like. To get on the beach you go through Montauk town about one mile and make a left turn on East Lake drive. The beach is all the way down just after the airport. It is a county beach not state. You must have gone to Hither Hills State park in Montauk. Let me know next time you are around
