Wireless remote mod for the rear electric jacks
My trailer came with electric rear stabilizer jacks. I love them but the factory people must not camp! They installed the control switch on the front of the trailer by the landing gear control switch. So it takes two people or running back and forth to locate the wood blocks under the jacks as they come down. The factory wised up and started installing the switch at the rear of the trailer on later models.
I was going to buy a new switch box and cut into the rear wall and install it. But I wasn't brave enough to cut into my walls. So I added this wireless remote control so I can control the rear jacks from anywhere as well at the manual switch. It's sweet! Will save me a lot of time setting up and keep my stress levels low.
I bought mine from Camping World. It's for the electric landing gear but will work on any single motor setup like jacks, electric awnings, electric slide outs, etc. Will NOT work on any hydraulic systems! http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/front-jack-remote-control-system/37668
I forgot to take an installed picture, will post later.
I wired this in with male and female connectors so I can remove the wireless module and reconnect the OEM wiring.
NOTE, power this box off the OEM 6amp C.B. for the rear jacks or you could burn out the motor!!

I had one for the front electric landing gear or a few years now and love it. It's from Westhaver Associates.
